- 1 Naan (inexpensive flatbread; tip: use garlic naan!)
- Strained tomatoes (inexpensive)
- Seasonings (what you like)
- 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds/hemp hearts (protein, omegas, minerals & more!)
- Vegetables (whatever you have)
- Shredded cheese
- Preheat oven to 425-450°F (218°C to 232°C)
- Sauce the naan. Pour a dab of sauce on the naan and spread it around by swirrling it with the backside of a spoon starting from the centre to the edge. For tomato sauce, save money by seasoning strained tomatoes. Look for a large pourable jar of what looks like sauce labled as strained tomatoes. It is unseasoned pizza sauce and costs a lot less! Switch up the sauce with BBQ sauce, infused olive oils, Alfredo sauce, leftover sauce, awesome sauce, or maple syrup.
- Season the sauce with your choice of flavours. Store-bought pizza sauce is usually flavoured with oregano and basil. Add a pinch of either, seasoning mix or a few dashes of hot sauce. Throw on some Montreal steak spice or other premixed spices if you're unsure what to add. Try them out and see which of the ingredients you like. Build a collection that ignites your senses!
- Evenly sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese. Remeber the cheese will melt into expanding ooze.
- Sprinkle the hemp seeds around the pizza. Bump it up to 3 tablespoons and you'll get around 9g of protein and a bunch more essential nutrients loaded with minerals and omega amino acids.
- Add your veggies and other toppings for more nutrition!
- Add more cheese or seasoning to the top. This is optional, but so is everything else.
- Place in oven for 7 to 15 minutes, depeneding on your preference.
- Cut (half/thirds/fourths), let cool, enjoy!
